A late September Chateau de Cazenac wedding, with Amber + Josh
3 days of pure joy and fun at this Chateau de Cazenac wedding, witnessing Amber + Josh making dreams come true.
We were so excited to get this enquiry at the beautiful Chateau de Cazenac. Amber and Josh and 3 days of celebrations and it was such a pleasure to join them to document each one. Celebrations kicked off on Friday, with welcome drinks and food at the Chateau. This is always such a perfect opportunity for family and friends to get to know each other. Everyones in a holiday mood, and with drinks flowing acquaintance’s become friends very quickly.
The wedding day was filled with moments of joy and intimacy, with close friends pitching in to help with the final setup on the morning. The chateau offers beautiful surroundings and stunning views across the valley. The ceremony was held underneath the huge old horse chestnut trees, giving luscious green backdrops the whole way around. A close friend lead the ceremony which include a full rendition of All You Need Is Love, with every single person belting it out. Drinks and canapés in front of the Chateau followed complete with string quartet. For us, the afternoons of destination weddings are where we really see the difference between English days. The key thing destination weddings offer is time. Time to relax, time to chat, time to drink and eat without pressure. It’s such a treat to not rush in this day and age.
After a few portraits around the chateau, everyone headed in for a slow dinner. Cocktails separated dinner from dancing and these guys started with the groom playing guitar in the band and then one of the best DJ’s we’ve ever seen live, a friend of theirs, Yasmin Evans
