A breath-taking Scottish highlands wedding at The Glenelg Inn with Beth + Matt
An unforgettable time, exploring for our first ever Scottish highlands wedding with Beth + Matt. This place is truly photographers dream, we spent most of the time pulling over to take photos, the landscape and the way the light moved across it was purely stunning. Beth + Matt a beautifully simple day, held at The Glenelg Inn. This cosy, warm and inviting pub is worth taking the trip to Scotland for all on it’s own. The food is incredible, the beer even better and it’s run by some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet.
With the weather seeming to hold off, Beth + Matt decided to get married outside, on the lawn over looking the stunning water and mountains. With a comfortable 80 guests, they made their commitment to each other with beautiful hand written vowels and traditional Celtic handfasting ceremony – always a treat. The day then slowly unfolded with good food, local beer and flowing conversation. A few heartfelt speeches outside were given and we took a walk out to the water for some portraits. As the sun started to set, we took a second chance to get some beautiful photographs on the side of the loch, the calm water reflecting the rhythm of the day. As the day turned to night, the celebrations moved inside for more merriment and traditional Scottish Ceilidh dancing; a wild end to the perfect day.
