Pragser Wildsee Wedding / Lago di Braies / The Dolomites
I almost don’t really have words to describe in felt to photograph this Pragser Wildsee Wedding. Amy + Liam booked us for their northern Italy wedding and then subtly mentioned they’d be travelling to The Dolomites for a mini-moon. When they asked if we’ve travel up with them and capture a post wedding couples shoot you can imagine how excited we were. Have seen The Dolomites in another photographer friends’ work we honestly thought it was something we’d never achieve. This place is absolutely breath taking. It’s one of those places where you can’t stop staring around and feel like you can’t open your eyes wide enough to see it all.
Having shot their wedding the day before, we took the 6 hour drive up to The Dolomites arriving tired and weary. Kat and I arrived before Amy + Liam, so we hired a boat and got out on the water to see what where the best view points were. After rowing around a little, we realised getting these guys out on the water was a must. As with any mountainous area, the weather moved incredibly quickly here. We arrived in the sun, but clouds moved in fast and with them brought rain. We really didn’t mind – this created a gloomy misty feel and we love it all the more.
