Stone Barn Cotswolds Wedding with Katy + Sam

Katy and Sam were married on a beautiful, bright and very hot Summer’s day. Their wedding took place at Stone Barn in the Cotswolds.

 

This wedding had one of the most thought-through Bridal and Groom Prep locations we’ve ever witnessed, with both sides getting ready at the beautiful and rustic Bilbury Farm Barns. There was plenty of space for everyone to get ready and enjoy their morning, as well as lots of gorgeous natural light. The highlight of the morning was the arrival of Katy’s Father’s big surprise – a retired fire engine to take them to Stone Barn. Complete with flashing lights and sirens, it made for a cherished moment between Father and Daughter, as well as a very unusual method of transport for the Bride!

 

Despite the fact that it was a blazing hot day, Sam was as cool and collected as possible as he waited for Katy in the ancient Cotswolds Stone Barn for the wedding to begin. The ceremony hall was decorated with greenery, fresh white flowers, and simple ivory candles, and rung with the sound of piano music as the guests waited for Katy to arrive.

 

After an emotional ceremony flanked by their bridesmaids in rose pink, and groomsmen in navy blue, the couple and their guests headed out onto the terrace for canapés and drinks in the beautiful sunshine. The wedding breakfast of a traditional roast dinner was bookended by live musicians and raucous, heartwarming speeches.

 

Our favourite part of Katy and Sam’s day was heading out into the sun-baked Cotswolds landscape together for a walk and some quiet, peaceful Couple’s time while we photographed them. The Stone Barn in the distance lent a quintessentially Cotswolds feel to the whole wedding, and infused every single one of the portraits.

 

In the evening, the Stone Barn was transformed into a dance floor and the Guests were entertained by the charismatic Apollo Music, long into the night.
