I’m just gonna come out and say it; I LOVE photo I’m just gonna come out and say it; I LOVE photographing the speeches 🫶 It’s a moment where as a great photographer you actually get to show off a bit- the room is full of reactions and connection, subtext and meaning… just waiting to be made into beautiful works of art…. I get to show you how good I am at the art of noticing, and it’s a chance to make some really lovely portraits of you and your friends and family which are ‘in the moment’ and ‘LIVE’ - but also you’re sitting down - so I can concentrate on composition. It’s a dream. The only issue is that when I’m working I listen to the speech to make sure I’ll be ready for the laughs…. So I’m very often laughing myself. There’s something really gorgeous about the heat There’s something really gorgeous about the heat haze in Sorrento. It’s taken me a few years to truly enjoy working with cloud cover (Togs- ya feel!? 😂) but I feel like last Summer I got a lot of it and finally learned to appreciate it.
