Escape to the Chateau Wedding – Amy + Mark

For those not familiar with the TV series ‘Escape to the Chateau’, let us enlighten you. This beautiful building exists because of a love story. Created by a French nobleman as a gift for his beloved wife, Chateau De La Motte Husson in the Loire Valley is straight out of a Fairytale. After many years the Chateau fell into disrepair until it was spotted by Dick Strawbridge and his wife, Angel Adoree. With their combined talents they have lovingly restored it and turned it into their family home, thrilling the nation at the same time with their television series.

Angel always dreamed of holding weddings at the Chateau, and their first was to be their very own wedding back in 2015. Since then, the Chateau has been the setting for the start of many new love stories, and we know Amy + Mark were delighted to be one of those couples.

Amy + Mark had a vision for a relaxed day to be shared with their very closest family and friends. The small group set the scene for what was to be a quintessentially French wedding, with a ceremony officiated by Dick himself, followed by hours of leisurely eating in the Orangery, and lots and lots of wine!

Angel is the creative force behind weddings at the Chateau, and Amy’s vision for simple floristry in white and green, and a rambling, trailing bouquet in purple and mauve were brought to life by Angel from the Chateau gardens.

After dinner, Amy + Mark and many of their guests changed from their wedding attire into more comfortable clothes – much better suited to hours of dancing, drinking at the Van Du Vin, and nightcaps from Dick’s drinks cabinet.
